MINIMIZE THE RISKS

Besides using in a manner that minimizes the threat to your body, there are other steps you can take for your safety and health if you continue to use:

Before you use.
Plan for safer sex. Put condoms and lube where you are likely to see them and use them.

While you're using. You can still play safely and use condoms, just make certain:
. to use plenty of water-based lube and use a new condom with each sex partner.
. There is no such thing as too much lube. Sex on crystal increase friction, so keep adding lube.
. Also, watch condoms for tears and breakage if playing with one partner for a long time. Crystal used along with other drugs, including poppers, Ecstasy, Viagra, Cialis and Levitra , can have kill you with little notice. Put the poppers and pills away where you won't get to them.

Be consistent with sexual safety.
If you're using crystal and do not take precautions every time, your likelihood of remaining HIV-negative is very low. A recent survey of men testing positive for HIV found crystal users 3 times more likely to become HIV+.

Stay hydrated, eat and try to get some sleep.
Gatorade and other sports drinks are perfect for replacing fluids and electrolytes lost when you're body is revved up. Water will do. Meal replacement bars and canned drinks like Ensure are decent options if you don't have much appetite.

Stay away from internet chat rooms.
You are at higher risk of being assaulted or rejected by anyone who hooks with you and learns that you have been using crystal.

Lastly, work on using less, not more.
If you become scared from your using or find you simply can't use less and want to stop using now, call one of the organizations on the "help now" page to get a start in ending your crystal use today.
